Cant apply an appearance (colour) to extruded areas
You did not say where you wanted to apply different appearances, but I assumed it was to the animal figures at the bottom. These would be Face Appearance changes, maybe that was your issue. Model is attached.

To your various questions in your last series of posts:
- I did nothing to each animal figure except edit each one and turn of the model sketches you left on. This makes it a lot easier to select the faces inside the extrusion to apply appearances.
- Breaking external file links is not required for you but you sent out an assembly with linked external files for the Forum to open. I have to import these to my cloud storage to use and if I sent the file back to you in this state I am just guessing you would not know what to do with it. I broke the external file links to bring it all into the one assembly. Screencast are broken right now so a screen capture will have to do.

You said earlier that all was understood? Can you please record a Screencast showing your process? Also, check your selection filters and make sure you have Face check as one of your methods of selection.
