Cannot Set Pivot Point on Body or Component

I have a bracket with 6 screws.  I have tried to move the pivot point during a Move/Copy command.  I use the O origin to establish the pivot point, I test the movement and it rotates CW and CCW.  I note that the OK button is greyed out which does not confirm the changes. I need the part to retain this pivot point when it is attached to a drive mechanism

The goal is to able to animate this section of the design.

Any pointers?

There is no persistent "Pivot Point" on a component or a body.  That UI only sets the pivot for the move triad for the duration of that Move command.

Sadly the same result I found.

Although the workaround is to change the selection type, like from Bodies to Faces, and then back to Bodies.

Each change from selection type sets a new pivot point, allowing for moving around to find the right pivot.

When starting the Move/Copy with a right click, the pivot is selected at the start of the command, without any way to change it, but by changing the selection type from Face to Body and back, a new pivot option is created within the Move/Copy itself, allowing for selecting the proper point.

Found this out just by trial and error.  Having an answer of "nope, can't be done" is not a good way to create software.

the "set pivot point" functionality doesn't work?
