Cannot select faces for Embossing

I am following this tutorial step-by-step:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KyaICILHto&t=1271s

At about 21:00 he uses the emboss feature.  At this point I can select the sketch profiles but I cannot select anything on the tire.  I've gone through the threads here regarding Emboss but haven't found a solution.  I've spent hours searching on the web as well as YouTube.  I've even gone back and created the tire from scratch again.

Please attach your model.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

To get the Emboss to succeed, the sketch profile must hit the surface you are trying to emboss.  You sketch pattern, at least one side is hanging over the edge of the tire.  I change a value to bring it in, over the tire and it works fine.  Model is attached.

Edit: I you get the tread to overlap the side, you can get it to wrap also.

Thank you!  With your file I am definitely able to select the tire.  I'm still confused, because in the tutorial he deliberately creates an overhang in the sketch so that it will wrap around the fillet.  So with his sketch clearly extending past the edge of the body he's able to emboss it.

I forgot to mention, even if I only choose the left-most sketch profile, I still can't use the Emboss feature.

I just opened my model again, the same one you opened.  And without changing anything, it works.  That's much worse than figuring out what was wrong.  I've been at this for hours.  So it looks like closing and opening the file "solved" something?

If you bring your sketch back to the construction line, it will wrap around the wall.
