I'm trying out fusion 360 for the first time today.  I'm on os x 10.9.4.  I'm a long time cad user.

 

I cannot seem to simply save my work.  I drew a little bit of geometry and tried saving into the "First Project" that was autocreated when I installed.  I got a little spinner save-in-progress icon that hung around for a while but then disappeared.  Apparrently the save failed.  I didn't see any record of it it in the web interface or in the left-side data panel.  It was definitely nowhere to be found when I quit the app and restarted, so I lost my work.

 

I did manage to create a new project called "test", which seemed to work, and also showed up in the web interface.  However I have the same problem here when I actually try to save a design.

I am having the same problem. I cannot save anything. I am able to export but nothing is being saved. This problem has only started since the update.

I just found this: - Save doesn't always save. the document name stays "(unsaved)" and when trying to quit fusion asks me to save the document. If i do so i still can't see it in my recent data afterwards. (Add: i tried some more times and looks like documents completely don't get saved curently. How lucky i am that i don't really have to work with fusion currently - see beta noted below)

 

This is my problem.

 

Any fix?

 

 I'm glad I've not put Fusion 360 into production yet.

We are actively looking into this issue. This seems to be a random issue and we are trying to get to the root cause. Can you run the "diagonastic log files" under the help menu and send the zip file that is generated to raj.kumar.ilanchelian@autodesk.com? Can you also please logout of your account and try to login again and see if that fixes the issue?

Hi Rajkumar -

 

I just sent you the diagnostics.  I tried logging out and back in in the fusion 360 app but I get the same behavior.

 

BTW I had updated the email address associated with my account yesterday just as I was logging into fusion 360 for the first time.  (I had an existing autodesk account.)

 

Also, just as I was typing this, I was trying again to save a simple file and the app crashed, bringing up a crash report dialog.  I sent it in and I included your email in the description.

Thanks to Rajkumar's help, we may have found a workaround: delete the file 

 

Library/Application Support/Autodesk - Autodesk Fusion 360/2*****************/BrowserStorage_login.dat

 

After I did this it seems I can save.
