cannot fuse add-on w/previous drawing

cannot lower half to presspull

Yes, can anyone help me understand why I can't add / fuse the lower section with an existing drawing and then select and press-pull the complete object?

I've done it before with no problem, so now I'm clueless...

Looks like you have at least 2 sketches, you can only form closed profiles using the curves in one sketch. Either edit the first sketch and add the lower curve or project the curves from the first sketch into the second.

I agree with @HughesTooling. If you have more than one sketch because you want this, than you have to close your spline to get a profile. This could be done by Sketch -> Project / Include Project (P) and selecting the lines you want to have in the current sketch.

yes Sirs. thank you very much for making a reply! I have submitted the same question(s) to an autodesk employee email with no response in 2 weeks... Well I had previously seen and tried the options you have mentioned, but I continue to be unable to 'select' the lower lines. Can you give me some specific about 'turning off the spline'? Hi Mark, I already made a drawing / CAM file by doing what I've showed here. I drew the addition and it didn't fuse the lines... to the wing.

This is the whole reason I'm having trouble - I did the same exact process before... and it worked no problem at all.

I drew the wing profile and added the legs... np

This is the total reason I don't understand what is going on - LOL

You may ant to consider watching some of the tutorial material that covers sketching in Fusion 360.

Looking at the sketches in the file you attached you are not fully utilizing the constraints available in Fusion 360 and I see very few dimensions, making your design very easy to break by accident.

I guess the design attached to this post is the one that worked? In this design a curve from sketch1 has been projected into sketch2, this may have been automatic depending on your preference setting.

Here with sketch1 hidden you can see the projected curve.

Personally I have all automatic projection turned off as you can end up with a lot of curves you don't want. All you need to do is edit your sketch2, press P for project, select the bottom curve of your airfoil then add 2 coincident constraints between the projected curve and your curves in sketch2.

While you think that you did the exact same process - I will make significant wager that you did not.  (I can demonstrate to you what was done differently.)

Would you like to learn how to do this correctly with absolutely predictable results and certainty that exact same process used every time?  (If yes, you will have to follow my instructions exactly.  I must warn that most find my techniques too tedious and give up within a few minutes - so just say, "No thanks, I'll continue to do it my way, but thanks for the offer." - if you are not interested in following my steps.  That way I can move on to other work without wasting my time.)

Gigantic help with the walk thu!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't say I followed any of your steps, but as I saw how you went around on the screen and did all kinds of moves - I got a lot better idea of how to work the drawing techniques and basically learned how to go back and edit the sketch - very nice!! I was asking people about this very operation since day 2 and got zero answers. Thanks so much Chris!!!!  I will be referring back to your screen ops for further learning...!!!

hi, another problem(s) the mach3(turn) processor is making circles instead of the nice radius cuts and finish pass that it shows in simulation - also prolly need to change the turning side to be nearest me - looks like it's coming from the far side...
