Cannot Flatten Sheet Metal if you do things perfectly

The new Sheet Metal feature is awesome.  It has so many uses.  But using it to make a very basic box is not working.

Attached is an attempt at making a box from sheet metal parts.  The very last flange is used to connect the sides together.  But if you do things perfectly so that the sides line up perfectly (with zero clearance between them) then it merges the walls and fail to flatten.  Other tools do not behave like this with sheet metal.

The quick work around is the change the angle of the very last flange to 90.01 deg.  That prevents the sides from being merged and it then flattens correctly.  But this is not a very nice work around.  Is there a better way to do this?
