The sketch will cut the object when drawn on the YZ plane, but not on the XZ plane.

Cannot extend extrusion to object
If you change the Extend Type from "all" to "Distance" with an appropriate value it'll work.
It is normal practice to mark the post that gave you the solution to your post with an "Accept Solution" and not your post thanking them for it. Please correct this!
