Cannot draw line properly between two points on two different solids (3d sketch)

Hi all,

I am facing such a frustrating behavior, please watch the video attached!

I am just trying to draw a line between two points I have defined on two different sketches which are each on the face of two solids apart in 3D space. I have tried EVERYTHING including turning off auto project in the preferences (as suggested by the AI assistant). Whenever I click the 2nd point, the line seems to snap to another random feature on the solid and I cannot control this behavior 😞

My ultimate goal is to get an arc or spline between these two points to define the centerline rail for the loft.

Thank you for any help, I've attached the f3d file as well.

There are so many unresolved issues highlighted on the Timeline that I would probably start over from scratch.

I would probably add the Fillets after the Loft.

The model you shared is not the same as the one in the video - there is a different set of sketches:

So, I tried to do something similar using that model.  I did not have the problem of the line going to a different point:

If you can provide some way to reproduce the problem, that would be helpful.  It seems like there is a bug there, I just cannot reproduce it...

With the unresolved issues highlighted in the Timeline - you are building a house of cards on a foundation of quicksand, but once resolved this is how I would continue...

Wow that you so much CADWhisperer and Jeff!! I will try these suggestions (interesting how the exported file seems different than the one I was working with, and interesting how the fillet order might be interfering)

Removing the filets before drawing the line fixed the issue

Actually should work either way.
