hello so im trying to extrude to object using a face but it will not extrude i just get "error cannot complete extrude, ps cannot attach model as there is a bug on the website for me.

try editing your post, or use the Reply button at the bottom - the attach UI is available there. Without the model, it is pretty difficult to diagnose. Look at the model from the sketch normal. Does the face you have selected completely cover the profile from that view? You may have to select one of the options for Extend (probably "to adjacent faces"):
