Cannot Combine Components Together.

I am new to Fusion 360 and sort of just hit the ground running today.

In my current file that I am working with, I cannot drag one component to another. I also cannot drag bodies from one comonent to another. When I open a new file this seems work fine, based on the turtorials. There is a logical color change when I am dragging components to antother one, however this just does not happen with this file.  It will be much easier to work on my project when things are nicely grouped together, but something I did before or a glitch is preventing me from doing this.

You appear to be working with the timeline active, correct?  Have you used the component you want to move to create another component, in another position in the timeline, or are you trying to drag the component you want to move into a component create after it? Maybe you can give a little more information about what you want to move, where to, and their relationship in the timeline?

Thank you for your Reply Ron, I was able to solve the problem by opening my current project in a new project.
