Cannot add fillets to design

Hello, very new to fusion, and CAD in general. 

I have designed a basic fork, and have been trying to add fillets to it, but it fails to add them, giving me this error message:

vertex edge blend geometry ill-defined.

Could anyone point me in the direction of what I am doing wrong?

In the error message it mentions size of the fillet.  Have you tried adding a fillet of less than 5mm?

Yes, it's still not happy. 

Is there another method to getting a much smoother profile on a body such as this that I am not aware of?

What is the thickness of the part your trying to fillet?
