Can't save since newest update 09 July 2021

Hi, 

Since the new update (2.0.10440; Windows 10 (19042)) I can't save a design in Fusion 360, the program automaticly crashed. Is there a way to disable automatic update? Since 1/5 update works well, the others one are always POS. 

As usual, Fusion 360 have released an experimental automatic update, so we (the paid users) have to go trought all the problems of that experiment update. I'm really pissed off and tired of all of this. The updates should be tested before release, that unnaceptable!

Hope it will be fixed asap, I have no time to loose today.

Update 1: I locate a bit more precisely the problem. I can save a normal parts as usual. However, when I save a sketch as a DXF, my part name automaticly have an asterisk popping which make my part outdated. When I save the parts after having save my DXF, Fusion 360 automaticly crash. I try to modify the parts just a little bit and Fusion 360 before saving and it didn't crash. It look like now Fusion 360 absolutly need a change in the part to correctly save the part. However, I've been doing this exact same procedure in Fusion for months and I never have a problem before.

Workaround:

Close the file without using Save command.

Another thing to ensure: If this is "on", turn off Auto version on close in Preferences.

The solution to enable "Auto version on close in Preferences" did not solve the problem. Fusion still crash when I save a file after working on the sketch.

Thanks. That is correct. Here are the latest findings from testing.

The crash happens if you save the design while in flat pattern mode, after exporting a sketch of the flat pattern as DXF.

Workarounds, there are two different paths to avoid the crash:

1. Do not save the design when you close it.

2. Exit the flat pattern before saving the design.

Both of your propositions are good and works, but they were not necessary before the update and are pretty annoying to do on a daily basis. Do you know if it will be patch on a future update?

Thanks for letting me know that closing the flat pattern before saving, or not saving at all,  is more trouble than saving the design while it's in flat pattern mode. 

I can't comment on development progress for any bug, crash, or improvement. The development team that received the bug report is aware of the issue and looking for solutions. If a fix is found it may take a while to reach you via an update.

In the mean time, please finish the flat pattern (one click) before saving the design. Let me know if that helps avoid the crash. It did for me in testing, but I'm interested in hearing your experience to validate my findings.
