Can't find the mid-point of any line

I can't find the mid point of any line.

I have a sketch with one line perpendicular to the other. Why is it that I cannot select the mid point of one line and make it coincident with the perpendicular line ie have it slide up and down the line on its midpoint? Why doesn't the mid point show up?

How it should work is select the coincident constraint then select the line you want to move, hold down the shift key and hover near the midpoint of the horizontal line until the midpoint is found then click.

Hi,

To be on the safe side, you should upload the file, as the sketch may be torn apart during this action if elements that are not visible on the screenshot are attached to other lines.

Please share the file for reply.

File > export > save as f3d on local drive  > attach to post.
