Can't Extrude Lines from a Sketch?

Hello and thanks in advance for this very stupid question. I was working on a CAD model for a Neopixel ring diffuser here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FA7a-n7o_Mg

I was able to get the workflow right the first time and successfully 3d print it but after going trying to redo it, the software will no longer let me extrude the paths once I close the sketch. I can select the paths like in the sketch below before the extrude command, but then once I'm in the extrude tool, I can only select and extrude faces. Even if I go into Selection Filters/Sketch profiles, I get the same issue. Things seemed to be working fine before, but all of a sudden this command stopped working. Did the software get corrupted? Did I dork up a setting? What am I missing? Can someone point me in the right direction? File is posted. Thanks!

Extrude solid or surface is working from that sketch, 

Will need more info of the problem, you are facing.

@leoplazaponte  Think what you might be doing wrong is you're in the Solid workspace and from the video you linked most of the work was done in the Surface workspace(tab).

In the SOLID workspace...you can only Extrude from Profiles/Faces...because it takes some AREA to extrude into a 3D SOLID.

In the SURFACE workspace...you can only Extrude from Lines/Edges...because that's all it takes to extrude into a zero-thickness SURFACE.

That's exactly what the problem was! I was clicking Extrude in the Solid tab, not the Surface tab. Thanks for your response!
