Can't dimension to edge of box or offset plane..

Stuck on this simple task, I want to dimension the blue highlighted construction line 30mm from the inside of the box (left side). I cannot get that to dimension because the box corner is curved.

So I created an offset plane which is where I want my construction line to meet along the wall, however cannot figure out how to do it.

Any help please?

Use the Project command under Create in Sketch:

If the plane is perpendicular to the sketch plane, this will create a line in the sketch.  If it is not, use the Intersect version:

Actually, even if the plane is perpendicular, Intersect will give the right answer, so that is probably the easiest way...

Thank you for the answer, I’m not sure how this solves my issue being honest. I want to dimension the blue line to a set distance from the inside edge of the box.
Maybe I misunderstand what you are saying?

use the regular type of project (keyboard short cut P) and select this edge (or the face below it)-

you'll get a purple sketch article in your sketch you can dim from (about where I out the dot in the pic)

it was not clear to me what you wanted to dimension from.  The Project or Intersect command will create a sketch line that you can dimension to.  If you want to dimension from the inside of the box, you can do that.  If you want to dimension from where the work plane intersects the box, Project, then dimension to the sketch line.  If you want one side of the rectangle to be exactly aligned with the work plane, use the Colinear constraint to do that.  I show all 3 below:

Jeff yes I was not clear originally sorry.
Thanks for your screencast it's very helpful! I can see that the offset plane needs to be projected to the sketch face to get the purple line, then I can dimension/constrain from that.
Thanks again!
