Can't delete one instance of a derived component

This is my design, it's a desk with drawers, but I need one with 3 drawers and one 2 drawers:

1. Made a design for the singular drawer only.

2. Made another design for the desk-with-3-drawers (component), insert derive component (the drawer) and copy it so I have 3 drawers.

3. Copy the complete desk component, "Paste as new", now there is no way to remove the 3rd drawer as I need only 2. If I "break link" on the derive, this will break links of all the drawers in both desks and I don't want that.

UPDATE:

Attached project file as requested.

For visual reference: (not exactly a desk, but lets not get into it)

Can you File>Export your *.f3z file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Hi, thanks for taking the time.

Updated the main post with the file. Had to recreate the issue in a new project since the original project is massive.

Your model is attached.  All you need to do is change the order of operation on your second set of cases.  I left your sketch for your reference.  If you need any further explanation, let me know.
