I had a question about editing.  Can you only edit many items by backing up the timeline?  For example, I want to exit some text that I later extruded.  The only choice I seem to have is to go back on the timeline to when I added the text and editing there and then re-creating the extrusion.  Is that correct that this is the only way to do it, or is this user error.

Yes, you can definitely edit text that has been extruded.

  1. edit the sketch containing the text.  This will roll the timeline back automatically to that sketch
  2. edit the text object itself.  You can change the text content, height, angle, etc
  3. exit the sketch - the Extrude will be recomputed

You don't necessarily have to manually roll the timeline back to edit the features in the timeline.

When you right-click on a feature in the timeline and select edit, or when you select a feature in the viewport - it usually also shows the three hatch lines over the feature own the timeline - then right-click and select edit this transports you automatically back in the timeline to that feature.

When done editing you are moved back automatically to the previous point in the timeline.
