Can comments be edited?

Just what the title says.  The comments box on the lower left corner...is it possible to edit comments once they are posted?  At the very least it would be nice if the standard windows copy/paste commands could be used.

No they cannot. But one thing you can do is copy them from your web view (check my reply here) to paste, edit the copied text, (perhaps) delete the original comment and post a new one. Sadly this updates the timestamp, so you might want to add in text if you need.

Depends on your definition of editing.  The owner of the comment can delete their comments so if you consider that editing, the answer is Yes.  You cannot edit it, as in change a word or phrase in the content.

As good as Fusion 360 is, there are lots of little head scratcher things like this.  Thanks for the replies.

If you did have the ability to edit comments, what would be the purpose of having them?  Then chain of custody of information about the model would mean nothing if every Tom, Dick and Harry could edit the contents of the comment.  Even if the editing of a comment could be done by the owner of the comment, it would render it ineffective.  I am just surprised the owner can delete a comment which is troublesome for me.

Everyone has their own use case, and for me it is terribly inconvenient to not be able to edit or copy comments.  Just because it doesn't make sense to you doesn't mean it doesn't make sense to someone else.  That's all I'll say.

I always wonder how many people actually use the comments.  They see pretty useless to me.  would love to have a design notebook that traveled with the model, like rhino has.

Totally understand the need for flexible comment tools—especially when trying to document changes or feedback clearly. While not directly related, I’ve seen similar limitations in certain gaming platforms. For example, when exploring apps like lot 777 apk, having editable comment systems or built-in logs really helps with user feedback and performance tracking.
