Body to Component Gets Swapped

When making my design the process went as:

Make a body

Perform various operations on it

Split the body into 8 different bodies

Turn those bodies into components

Label those components

However, when I go back and make changes earlier in the timeline it shifts which bodies are in which component. I don't understand why it is doing this.

Also, it seems to break some joints between a component inserted into this design and the main components.

Is anyone able to offer some help on this? I am very lost.

Thanks

I can't share that main model that I am working on but I made this to show what happens. I made a box, put labels on them, added some extra bits and combined them to made 1 body, split it into 4 and labelled the new components. If you do as much as change the initial extrusion by 2mm the components jumbled up and it just breaks

I think the issue has to do with combining additional bodies before the split happens. I don't understand what you mean by "Capture Position". When I was remaking something to test it with it worked fine until I added more things and combined them. Then any edits I made seem to just break the components

Ok, I think I found it.  I think it is an identity tracking bug, takes a bit to find it. @Phil.E Repeatable with supplied file.

On opening the file - Step timeline marker to before the first Make component, open the bodies list (4 bodies), note the body names.

Marker before the Mirror, Extrude Join the rectangle in sketch 1 onto the side of body 1

Go back (to Step 1) to before the first make component, in my case body 14 is gone and replaced by body 15.

Step and make the Components, and body 14 is not found, icon goes yellow and edit feature to update the body to body 15.

Should not happen.

Might help.....
