Bodies disappearing when I delete combine?

The combine function is driving me slightly insane on autodesk haha

I made two simple forms and one revolve. I left the revolve as a body and the two forms as components and combined them - part of a test to better understand the combine function.

But when I deleted the combine int the timeline to start again, both forms disappeared. They are still there in the timeline and still there as components on the tree.

What happened? At what point should I combine? When they are components or when they are bodies? What happens if I combine a mix? Why did the two forms disappear?

What's even weirder is that if I just edit the form and click finish, it pops back into existence. There is either a glitch or there is a flaw in the software!

Weirdly it just came back. All I did was drag the timeline back and forth and they came back. Is there a way to refresh the page on fusion? Solidworks has a rebuild feature as a refresh but I couldn't find anything on here aside from manually dragging the timeline visibility back and forth.

As has already been answered in the other thread, the combine feature combines bodies, not components.

The bodies that are combined are consumed by the combine feature, unless you select the "Keep tools" check box.

If you created a form (T-Spline) in a component and combined the result with another body, the component might appear empty.

A component is a container for all those features that help create the body ( or bodies) in a component. When used properly in most cases it will contain sketches, construction geometry. Later on it might contain joint origins etc..

You can still combine the bodies from such components, but they cannot be deleted, because they still contain all the sketches etc.

Also, while the body resulting from the T-Spline (form) model, that was contained in the component, might be gone from the browser after the combine , you'll notice the when you activate the component, it still contains the Form feature in the timeline.

The Browser contains objects, the timeline contains features. A Sketch can be an object and a feature, so it can be seen in the browser and the timeline.

A extrude feature is not an object so i can only be found in the timeline.

But it creates (or modifies) a body, which can be found in the browser, but not in the timeline.
