Beveling an SVG

I am having such a hard time beveling an SVG.  I have gone back cleaned up the SVG, done insets, retraced, tried lofts.  I cannot get fusion to do a pretty simple bevel compared to the old CAM software I used from like 2005.  I am doing this for rendering purposes only currently.

Any suggestions would be helpful

The reason that is happening is because there are sharp curvature areas in your sketch, which results in a failure in the chamfer command after exceeding a certain values, as the smaller edge (pointed at in red arrow) will get smaller and smaller until it causes the command to fail:

So, you need to smooth out the sketch sharp curvature so you can get the command to work with the intended value you're after.
