Beginner-- super simple, XYZ grid not working

Hi ya'll. I just downloaded F360, I started with entry tutorials.. Now for some strange reason, when I select one of the 3 planes, the grid doesn't adjust to the plane selected. In other words, the grid is constantly fixed at the selected "Left" plane... how the heck do I resolve this; I've looked online and can't seem to find anything to help me? Let me know if i'm not making sense.. Thanks in advance, David

Hi David,

I guess you activated the layout grid.
Then the layer can be activated and changes to selected plane after clicking Sketch Button. 
If the layout grid is disabled, there is no grid  until you click the Sketch Button.
