Balloons - Relocating

Hello,

I recently started having an issue with balloons  in my drawing files.

I generally manually place my balloons instead of allowing the auto-population by Fusion.

In the last few days, they have started to move on me when I revisit the page.

I've recorded a screencast of the issue.

Any insight would be much appreciated, thank you!

I cannot replicate your issue in my assembly drawing.  One question?  How were the drawing sheets created?  Did you create them from the model or from the drawing by picking the plus at the end of the sheet list and them deselecting what you did not want in the view?

When is this getting fixed? I am sitting and working overtime on a Saturday night with only a few hours until the deadline and I cannot place the balloons where I need them! I cannot stress how mad and frustrated I am right now! I have to hand over drawings with unreadable balloon pointers.

The fix of this issue has gone through the validation process.
Very soon it will be in one of the coming Fusion updates.
Once it's in Fusion update, we will update you.

Thanks,

This was good news, I was able to revise the drawings with the correct balloon placement. This issue appears now to have been fixed

Hi,

Can you please share the steps or video to demonstrate the issue? It would be great if you can share the drawing file as well.

Thanks,

Hi,

A long time after the supposed fix, like others, I am experiencing balloon automatic relocation.

I added three new components to the model. By default, they are not included in the drawing, so I tick the components to include them.

As you can see from the screencast, as soon as I select one of the new components, all the balloons move all over the place.

Side note:

The following _is_ a screencast URL. Why does this forum system think it is not? "Not a Screencast URL. Please insert a public Screencast".

Hi,

This is an expected behaviour. When you add parts into the view, the balloons for that component gets added automatically. And so that the newly added balloons doesn't get overlapped to already present balloons, it reshuffles the positions of balloon.

"Expected behaviour" For whom? Certainly not me!

This "behaviour" wastes my time and IMHO, bad software design.

Hi,

There are two sides to this scenario:
1. If we suppress/unsuppress the component, we have to revaluate the balloons again to make sure newly added balloons do not overlap to existing balloons.

2. And if we don't revaluate the balloons, this might cause balloons to overlap over each other.

Both sides has its own pros and cons but there is definitely a scope of improvement here. We will look into this.

Thanks for your valuable feedback.

I am having the same problem as the original thread creator. I create a table and the balloons automatically populate the the model. I move the existing balloons to better positions and save. I create a second page for the same model and save. When I click from one page to the other the balloons lose the positions I placed them in. Its like I never moved the balloons in the first place.
