Bad Blue Lines

I believe that I have been told that blue lines on a sketch are bad, and the lines need to be black.

Attached is a sketch which works perfectly, but all the lines are blue.  I think everything is properly constrained.

What have I done wrong.

here is how to get the geometry you have fully constrained.  The easiest debugging tool is drag.  If you have blue curves, just drag them, and it will become obvious what needs to be changed.  In this case, you need a horizontal, a dimension, and a coincident.  The whole sketch is not fully constrained still, but that is likely because you have some duplicate geometry somewhere.

OK, here is the rest.  There were no duplicate geometries, which is good.  There were a few lines that I did not understand the purpose of, but that were causing the sketch not to be fully constrained.  If those are not needed, just delete them.  The text command "sketch.showunderconstrained" can help here.

To fully constrain a sketch, one or more sketch objects must be constrained and/or dimensioned to the sketch's origin or geometry (edges, vertices, or objects from another sketch).

In your design, the sketch is the first item in the timeline, so you must constrain "something" to the sketch's origin.

I did not know that a sketch needed to be constrained to the origin.

I also did not know about "sketch.showunderconstrained".  Thanks to both of you for clearing this up for me.  I think I can properly constrain my sketches from now on.
