.f3d extension is the normal Fusion 360 file extension.  If you open a model, select File, Export and save the file it will have a .f3d extension.

.f3z extension is a Fusion Archive file format.  If you open a Fusion assembly model which contains Linked Components, select File, Export and save the file it will have a .f3z extension.  This basically is a zip file and can be opened with Winzip to view contents if desired.  This file type has to be Uploaded to the Cloud in order to be opened in Fusion 360

The rest of the file have to do with Fusion 360 Electronic design as shown below.  This section is copied from the Fusion 360 help files.

Fusion Electronics designs are now supported filetypes with special extensions and special handling just like f3d files. These file types are not downloadable (.fsch => .ElectronicsSchematic, .fbrd => .ElectronicsBoard, .fprj => .ElectronicsDesign)

As off today - maybe the last update we cannot open f3z files in Fusion, and get a message that the format is not recolonized. This happens on files exported 2 days ago on the same computer

It can be downloaded from here for the next day or so!

Strange thing is that when I export another file today it exports in f3d form. The other one contains a complex part assembly imported from a subsupplier and then modified
