The behavior in this video is exactly what I expect, and the way Fusion has operated for quite some time.
Here is a short description of the behavior:
- When you sketch on a face, the edges of that face are automatically added to the sketch. Fusion doesn't actually show the lines (to reduce the "distraction"). But, when you actually use those projected curves in your sketch, Fusion make them visible. The thinking here was to make it more obvious that there is an actual sketch curve here to constrain to. This behavior is not controllable via an option
- If you have the "Auto project geometry not in the active sketch" option turned on, and you are looking straight down on the sketch (the view you get with "Auto look at sketch" set), then if you click on an edge not in the face you sketched on, it will be auto-projected into the sketch (needed in order to satisfy the constraint). I personally dislike this behavior and I turn it off. If I want an edge projected, I project it manually.
Hope this helps to explain the behavior you are seeing.

1) I think displaying projected edges should be an option. I would rather they were never displayed regardless of whether they're used or not.
2) I prefer auto projection of edges outside the sketch plane, but I really dislike how you have to have the display view close to normal with the sketch plane. This makes it more difficult to see the edges you want to reference to. It also feels sort of antiquated, like the software wants me to work in 2D all the time, even though I'm working with a 3D model.
