Auto-Extending body during pattern?

I'm not positive it is possible to do what I'm trying to do. I have not been able to figure it out yet so I figured I'd ask for some help.

Using parameters, I'm trying to make an automated baluster and channel layout file for building railings. I've been able to get the baluster count and spacing down perfect based on the lengths I type in. But that is just for a straight section of railing. When there is a drop, I'm not sure how to automate the baluster size to automatically adjust to the angles of the channels. Example below....

For this railing above, I'd need balusters to be evenly spaced , and the bottom and top of the body of the baluster to follow the blue channel lines. Is there any way to automate that process?

I tried making the balusters much longer than needed initially, then trimming the bodies after the quantity layout. But if there are more balusters added based on a longer length of railing, those new balusters do not get trimmed by the extrude command.

Thanks for the help.

Here is the fusion file. Not much in it, was just a quick test.

I did not have a lot of success.  The bolster would not stay exactly with the path even if I added a radius to the corner.  Maybe others can see something I am missing.
