Associate Text to Drawing View

Is there a way to associate text to drawing view in F360?

I am working on a few drawings at the moment and as the designs evolve I need to update the views.

With this I often have to move views around to allow for more dimensions/additional sections etc.

I typically name the views - TOP/FRONT/RIGHT ect..

When I move the views I also then have to go and change the position of each text block to match the drawing layout.

If there was a way to associate text to a view this would be a big help.

Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers.

Appreciate the feedback but I'm not looking to include the leader with the text. At this stage I can't see an option to turn off the leader line.

Cheers

Hello,

I found the only way to get Fusion360 to do this basic requirement is to:

0. Create the view

1. Create a sketch in the drawing,

2. Create the text in the sketch,

3. Place the text where it is needed in the superposed view,

and then the only way to move both together is to

4. Select the view and the sketch, and move them together. Not great but it works in a wonky way.

Fusion 360 developers please take note:

Please provide this basic facility ASAP. This is fundamental.

It should be:

1. Select view

2. Insert text where required

3. Have the possibility to cut / copy /paste any text from sheet to view or view to view.

UPDATE JULY 2020

Following up on this earlier post.

With the June update it seems F360 now has the ability to select text and drawing views at the same time. You can then move the text and the drawing view will move with it. This will streamline my drawing work significantly.

Moving the drawing view only seems to leave the text where it is.

I haven't fully tested it but this seems like a great feature enhancement and many thanks to the F360 team for implementing it..!

Nice work 👍

Normally one would like to be able to associate text annotations with views, as well as with objects like dimensions and other annotations. Something that's been around in other CADs like Creo for decades. Also being able to align random views to each other is a related feature that Fusion lacks.
