I am looking to 3D model surface texture like leather, wood grain, knurling, etc so that I can mill or 3D print it.
I see this post from 2 years ago: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/surface-texture-for-3d-printed-objects/td-p/...
I have also seen threads about manually sweeping knurling onto parts, and frankly that sounds like a lot of work.
I don't have a specific texture in mind at this point - just something to either make parts more interesting or to cover 3D printing layers. Something image based would be ideal. Perhaps my best bet is to find something in mesh mixer or whatever, and bring that in? (somehow? I've never tried that import to know if its possible)
