How do I get the items in the appearance library that aren't on my computer to download? If I uncheck show downloadable materials, most of the items disappear. I can't seem to figure out how to trigger the download of the materials.

Do you have an update downloading? You would see "XX%" Downloading in the titlebar?

Typically you should see a little down arrow next to any appearance you don't have.

No updates pending. Attached is a full screen shot so you can see there are no pending updates. I've even pulled up the appearance library and walked away for an hour or two thinking it had to download the rest of the materials. I've been getting the updates. I don't remember seeing that any of them have failed. This is using OS X too. I haven't fired up Windows to see what I see there yet.

I'll need to check in with the Rendering experts. Stay tuned.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for reporting this, this does look strange - we'll look into this.

The one time I've seen something like this before happened because the list items didn't resize to the dialog window correctly, and the download button was just sitting 'out of bounds'. So one thing to try might be to resize/scroll the Appearances window and see if this makes a difference.

Many thanks,

Jake

Are you cliking on the individual library items that you want to download? Each has a download button. There is no batch download.

That was it. I just had to resize the dialog. I couldn't resize the dialog until I undocked it from the side. Now the arrows appear.
Thanks for the help guys.

Great! Glad that worked.

Playing around a bit here I've just been able to reproduce this problem - I'm going to ask the development team to look into this and see if we can stop these buttons from getting hidden.

Many thanks again for highlighting this,

Jake
