Another small loft problem

Hello!

One of my first post here. I always manage to find answer myself but this time I tried everything and cannot find a solution... I prefer not to use the form/mesh mode as I found it (with my experience) less precise...

So the problem I have is that the loft always make a small hollow on the center line. I kind of understand in a way why he is doing that and at the same time I'm like "why don't you follow my rail?"!!!

This hollow is really obvious when I manufacture the piece on my CNC...

You can see on the picture, I want the part highlighted in orange to be "flat on the center line" as my upper bout rail is.

I think Fusion struggle here as I go from one curve to a really different one with 2 rails constrain. It is less worst if I loft from the upper bout curve to the center point and use the center curve as rail.

I join also an export of my Fusion 360 file if someone want to look at it, All the strating sketch are there as also all my test (with mesh and other surface).

Do you have any idea?

Take your time and ask questions if things are unclear. This screencast was just a quickie.

I plan to do something a bit more in depth explaining concepts  over the holidays.

Fusion 360 is a great tool for instrument builders and it's got everything in the tool bag to make that successful.

Alas, what is missing is often the knowledge how to tame these tools. Hopefully this helps some!

Thanks again. I just started from zero with all your advices and following your tips. Everything worked as planned, made some small mistakes but understood quickly were the problem was.

And I really love your tip with the construction lines at the end, very convenient!

I will test all this with another guitar plate, the top plate of a guitar: a little more complicated as there is a neck plane at angle, and a pickup plane. But again, I now understand a lot of stuff, so I'll probably be able to do it without problems. 🙂
