Annoying Sculpt mode Edge

Hi, everybody.

I need a hand.

I'm designing a device on sculpt mode and after modeling an unwanted edge showed up.

I don't know why that happened but It is bothering me when using other tools, like Shell.

Does anybody knows why this happens?

I'd apreciate any help...

That line only indicates the start/end of a NURBS patch. It is of no technical concern and won't show up in renders, for example.

All of your sketches are yellow because you deleted the reference you use to create these sketches with.

Ok.

But that happened again in other modeling I'm developing.

It's causing problemas when trying to project a sketch to use the extrude tool. It shows a red dot and don't close the sketch.

Thank you, Peter, again.

Going through the timeline it looks like you are going at to fast of a pace leaving a lot of rubble behind you that needs to be cleaned up.

I'll have to look at this in more detail later.

You are stuck not because of some edge etc. You are stuck because you tried to run before you can walk.

This is a complete re-do in my opinion. You have plenty of empty T-Splines in the timeline a failed one where you did not understand the failure , yellow icons that indicate warnings when you deleted reference geometry. Maybe ask questions a little earlier the next time.

I don't have the time at the moment or inclination to be honest to go through the rubble in your timeline and clean up so I can actually halfway understand what you are trying to do.

So I looked at you'r design and see the point that you feel is creating the problem.

I just don't know what that problem would be. Can you describe that ?

Slicing and dicing a T-SPline like you've done will possibly lead to problems further down the road as the edges created by these operations have terrible curvature.:

Sorry, Peter.

I'm entering as other user due to server communication issues.

I understand your points... I'll go deep on sketching.

Specifically on this model, what is concerning me is this red dot with a black do inside.

It doesn't allow me to extrude from the curve.

Do you know why that happen?

Thanks a lot.

The reason you cannot extrude is because what looks like one dot is actually two very close together and they are not connected. If you zoom in and connect the two dots with a line you can extrude.

Maybe a short spline with tangent constraints is going to be even better than a line.

Ow... didn't notice that...

Thank you, Peter.

I'm redoing modelling from scratch and slowing down my pace, paying more attention on sketch details...

Thank you very much!
