Aligning components

Hi all

I am trying to align the top of the circular component with the large face of the square component (move it down).

The circular component has a domed face and using the align command does not allow me to choose the top of the dome as an alignment point.

I don't see a single domed surface in your design.

Aligning is not the right technique/tool. You should create a joint from the assembly model to join the two "things" in place.

Only one of these "things:" is a component.the other on is just a body. Are you familiar with the difference between a body and a component ?

I'll send a long a reference to Fusion 360's R.U.L.E #1

Do you want the dome to be completely below the surface or the edge flush with the surface and the dome above? If above just select the outside circumference and align that with the surface. If below you would need to move it down by the height of the dome above the  circumference.

You should be using components and joint to make assemblies like this. Unfortunately Fusion does not have a tangent constraint so you'll need no create a sketch with a reference point you can add a joint origin to.

See screencast below. First I convert your body in the main component into a component and ground. Then create the sketch, joint origin and joint to the square component.
