Aligning components

Hi Everyone,

I have been having trouble with my align command. When I align two faces it always flips the part over and aligns the faces the wrong way. It didn't start doing this until recently. It is very annoying. If anyone has had this problem and can help me out that would be great!

You should try Joints, there are much more reliable.

Might help....

@davebYYPCU  Yes. Everything eventually gets joints. when I make fixtures I like to align my parts to the fixture just to get an idea before I set everything where I want it.

Hi @Jacobwnovotny  Thank you for reporting this, we received a couple of other reports too. You will find a fix for this  in the coming fusion update. (FUS-128611)

@mayank.malukani  I have been having the same experince, with nearly every ALIGN that I do, it will flip the component over, and I will have to flip it back. For example, aligning two component faces that are on the same plane, and one just needs to move on that plane, will result in a flipped component. Aligning 2 parallel surfaces that are separated slightly and one just needs to move a short distance to contact the other will result in a flipped component and the two surfaces coplanar, but not touching. This behavior began a couple updates ago.

@MJ12283

Is there a logical reason you are not using Joints?

Yes, there is.

Is there a logical reason why you chose to ask me to justify my use of a feature that the software developers saw fit to create and include in version after version of the program, rather than contribute something to the conversation that could actually help?
