Adjust component dimensions when moving another component

Hi,

I'm not quite sure how best to define what I'm looking to do.

I'm looking to be able to move either outer tubes with the bridge component adjusting to suit. The sketch for the bridge component has no lateral dimensions, only dimensions for diameters.

I'm probably just missing a fundamental design workflow for having components adjust with one another.

Using parameters perhaps, though I'm not sure how I can assign dimensions to the linked components positions which then I could use the same parameter within the bridge sketch.

Thoughts?

Thanks for your time,

I was trying to see if I could figure out a parameter option when I realized that I could use the bridge component to drive moving the tubes and I could assign joints from the bridge all to the cap ext then the tubes.

Well good in theory... still trying to work that option out now and using parameters.

So much good stuff to learn.

Solution resolved;

I used the bridge component to drive the cap extensions, then added joints to the caps/tubes.

Initially it wasn't working as there was a hidden constraint with in the bridge sketch at one of the diameter center points . I just deleted the sketch and redid it, hiding all other components so as not to pick up any center points of other components.

Definitely a bit of a pain not being able to see all assigned constraints with diameter center points.
