Addtional option for Fillet Dialog

The IdeaStation seems to have disppeared so I'll just put this here.

When you pop up the Fillet Dialog

and grab the control that lets you size the fillet and move it "too far" (or you explicitly enter a value that's too big) an error message pops upinforming you that Fusion cannot accomplish the requested fillet. But sometimes, by carefully moving the control you can find the "sweet spot" that is acceptable but just short of too big.

I'm thinking it would be really helpful to have some option on the Fillet Dialog that basically tells it to "maximize" or maybe "optimize" the fillet radius so that it automatically finds that sweet spot. That would not only make it easier for the user to get it to that sweet spot, but by the app remembering that "maximize" had been selected it could automatically  accommodate later changes to the design that might impact on the acceptability of the fillet radius.

Hello @RogerInHawaii ,

Thanks for the feedback,  I am not sure how much work this will be or will this be implemented or not. I will make sure this reaches the concerned team.

Thanks!

You're not the first to want this.  It's been suggested all the way back to the beginning of Inventor.  While this sounds like it would be simple, it is not.  The only way to do this would be prohibitively expensive - basically iterating in a divide/conquer method that could result in hundreds of fillets until it converges on that "maximum" value.  It could take a very long time...
