Adding Details to a Curved Surface

Hi

I am in the process of reproducing a Radar dish for a model that is missing the original part.

I created the dish in fusion making a side on sketch and revolved it to get the basic shapes:

There are the obalong details on the inside of the dish, that I want to create next. I realize that I could create the pattern once and then use the pattern tool to multiply it around the surface, but its how to create the pattern?

Do I create a flat sketch and extrude it onto the dish and cut the curve into it? I am not sure how to do that properly.

Any advice will be great.

Use a flat sketch then extrude using the From Object option or if you want a cavity under Extent use the To Object option.

Thank for that, thats very clear.

I have not used the extrude from the body before, so that will help with a lot of projects.
