Active component hidden detail

When a component is activated, all other components become translucent, making the active component stand out more. A problem I have been having with this behaviour is the way that hidden detail is shown through inactive components. This frequently creates situations where it is not clear which angle the object is being viewed from, resulting in navigational difficulties.

Is there a way to change the display mode of inactive components to wireframe with no hidden edges, for example, so that this problem is reduced?

@SorenJFox

Would it help in your work if you turned this off, or would that cause more confusion about which component you are editing?

Thank you for your reply.

Turning off active component visibility would definitely cause confusion. If I have to pick between the occasional optical illusion and or not being able to tell which component is active at a glance, I would pick seeing the active component.
