I am aware that fusion 360 is capable to perform 3D motion studies. For simpler cases can fusion 360 perform 2D motion studies like SolidWorks blocks?

If you're unsure of SolidWorks blocks, google "solidworks block motion study". This is what I am trying to achieve within fusion.

not really, no.  There is no "sketch block" capability in Fusion.  If you are careful, you can create a sort of a block-like construct, using constraints and dimensions to create a self-constrained set of geometry, but one that is free to move (e.g. a dimensioned 3-point rectangle is such a beast).  But, that is a lot of work to do.  You can also simulate this by creating components, each with one sketch in it that represents a "block", and join those components with Joints.  That's how I would do this.

Thanks for the reply and solution.

For some designs this will come in useful, however fusion does not yet have this idea in full swing this solution is a work around as what I can see. It would be great if this solution could be implemented in the future of the software. To Make it easier for design solutions.
