Cannot Find Downloaded File.

Ummm....doesn't matter what file I click on, nothing is available. I did not do any work yesterday in offline mode. I fired up Fusion this morning, let it do it's update, enabled On-line mode, restarted, bam! nothing.

Suggestions?

You don't have to enable online mode.  Did you explicity go offline before the update.  Can you share an image of what you see on right hand corner of the Fusion 360 screen.  I wonder if you went to offline my mistake.

Hi,

As Prabakar suggests check the User menu and ensure there is no check next to "Work Offline".

If you are online and can see your projects/designs but are not able to open them, please check to see if it's one project/file or all of your projects/files.

Also let us know if you're seeing any error messages when attempting to access them and what it says..

Finally, can you also try going to your hub via your browser and see if you can a) access the files (bring up info, version info, etc.) as well as b) try using the "Open in Fusion" option and see if that opens them?

Thanks!

Regards, KpB

Sorry for the delay in answering this, I had to go out and do some errands. Yes, yesterday I explicitly went off-line. I knew that the service was going to be down so I exported a couple files I had planned on working on and then set the mode to "offlilne", Opened up the files to make sure I could access (which I could), shut down Fusion and one thing led to another and I never made it back until today. This morning I fired up Fusion, let it do it's update, restarted it, set it to "online" mode and tried to open a file. No luck.

Going to A360, all I see are these:

Capture4.PNG

But that's not suprising, as I've never seen any other file I've been working on properly displayed in my A360 browser. Figured it was always a bug

It is all of my files that I cannot open.

The error message I recieve is this:

Capture6.PNG

Hi Seth,

To help us understand and diagnose what is happening for you, could you collect log files from your system and either post them in this thread or send to me in a Private Message.

Logs can be collected using the 'Diagnostic Log Files' command in the top right help menu.

One additional note is that you can get to your data in A360 using the 'Open in A360' commands in the Fusion application. The easiest way to trigger this is to click on the triangular icon at the top of the side panel (seen when you are navigated inside a project).

Thanks,

Couldn't figure out how to attach a file to send you as a PM, so posting it here.

Following your uinstructions, I was able to find my folders in A360. Why must I go through Fusion to see my folders in A360? Why can I not go directly there from my account?

At any rate, clicking on "Open in Fusion 360" produces the same result: Cannot find dowloaded file from A360

I am having a similar issue! I am doing most of my work on my house computer. I come out to my garage computer and load up fusion 360 and I see my file but I cannot load it. I keep getting failed to download file from A360.

Hi Steve,

There are a few different things which could cause this specific error message. Could you attach your log files to a forum post or send to me in a Private Message so I can conifrm whether the problem you are seeing has the same cause.

Thanks,

I am having the same problem. Was working before the update, I never use offline mode, but I do have a firewall program, and have to update the firewall path to the fusion files after every update because the directory keeps changing with each version.

I tried creating a new part to see if that one would open again, but it gives a upload error.

Hi,

To provide an update to this thread, the issues which have been seen here are linked to network security, with the issues arising when computers are unable to validate the authenticity of Autodesk's server certificates. This check was added to Fusion 360 in the most recent release as a way to block many 'man-in-the middle' attacks.

At the moment, we don't have a clear understanding of the trigger for the problems and are continuing to investigate, however a workaround has been identified and has allowed impacted users to continue to work with Fusion. Since this workaround avoids a security check, we will not be releasing it publicly at the moment. If anyone encounters a similar issue, please contact me through a Private Message or post to this thread and I will be able to validate and provide details.

Hi Matt,

I have the same issue, the log file contains many lines similar to the one below.

ssl.SSLError: [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:548)

Could you please provide me with the workaround?

Regards, Daniel

There is a tempororay work around but its an at your own risk type of thing. One of the admins will send you the solution if you request. I have used it and it is working fine for now.

I did request it but never heard back.  Is there a "not at your own risk" solution coming soon?

Hi,

We have made some progress on this issue, it appears to be caused (in at least some cases) by a missing Windows Update.

The specific update is KB931125 and can be found through the Microsoft site at http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=root%20certificate%20update (Note - this page may require Internet Explorer)

Applying this update should remove the need for a security workaround.

I am having the same issue, but I am running Mac OSX 10.10.3 Yosemite. The problem first occured during (or around) the recent server maintanance (either 9th or 10th of may), and at first I thought it was because the servers are down. However it keeps happening, and I can't open ANY of my projects, drawings etc. I exported a file throught the online dashboard to DWG format and was able to download it, but that's as far as I got.

Error log attached

Thank you in advance.

Hi Oleg,

Your errors are a little different, it appears that your Autodesk login is in some form of invalid state, my recommendation is to use the 'Sign Out' function in Fusion 360 and then log back in. This should clear the invalid state and allow the software to work again.
