Hi everyone, since the last update Fusion 360 has been crashing more often. This happens when i try to make some changes to my design, does anyone have a fix for this? I really need to fix this problem so that i can make parts on a cnc machine, thanks.

Hi,

Sorry for the trouble you are having.

I only see two recent crash reports from you. Are you sending in these CER reports? Please be sure to add some comments about what you were doing when it crashed.

Can you repeat these crashes? If you know of certain steps to take that will help us fix it. If it's related to certain data of yours, can you share the model and steps to crash it? The golden rule of crashes is: if we can repeat it we can fix it. So any information you can give us to help reproduce it will speed things along.

Thanks,

It seems like it's trying to load or save.

@justo_urbina12

Thanks for providing some more details. Unfortunately at this time we just don't have enough information to do any kind of bug fix.

If I understand correctly, you think it's just the more recent version of the file. Does it crash like the video shows each time you do the same thing? In other words, is it repeatable using the same data and same steps each time?

If so, can you:

1. Open the version that crashes

2. Use File > Export > .f3d file type.

3. Attach to this post or send to me in PM.

Thanks, if you can do that we can fix a crash. Without this information it's impossible to fix.

Last, I want to remind you of something very important. Please fill out and send in each and every CER you get. In this case, I can't tell much about your crash (or crashes) because you have only sent in 4 CER in the last month, and only one has comments. So I can't use these reports very effectively to diagnose the problem. In the video you show, the last thing you do is cancel the CER. That report might have held the key to your crash, and thus the crashes of many users. It's a really nice thing for you to send them in, so thanks for that.

Please let us know if you can find the version that crashes, I'm looking forward to fixing this crash.

Thanks,

Good news.

  1. I can crash using your file and current production.
  2. I cannot crash doing the same steps in development builds which are due to come out later this month.

I want to be sure about it, so I've asked what we fixed that may have also fixed this crash.

Thanks,

More good news! I just figured out that Keqing was logged in to A360 on my machine! 🙂

The response above is from me, not Keqing.
