Hi All,
I have gone through a bunch of tutorials and already made some custom RC parts. However, most of them were made in the XY face and extruded from there.
My next project/wish is to make light buckets for 1 of my RC bodies but I dont know where to start. It needs a lot of curving in 3D space
I have 2 pictures attached, could one of you help me with pointing me in the right direction or maybe a tuto that can be helpful for this?
Hey @Anonymous ,
I want to help you, but it's very difficult to see in the picture what it is!? You also mentioned an RC model that you built, but you forgot to tell what RC model you built, is it an Airplane, a Drone or a Boat?
Maybe you can attach some better pictures or even better make a screencast!
Cheers / Ben

Hi Ben,
Using F360 I am rebuilding a 1/10 4WD nitro car into a 2WD Drift electro car, supported with an Arduino for all sorts of smart stuff.
Most of the elements are pretty straight forward but the head and taillights are very hard due to their shape. The pictures are from a lexan clear body. Because I do not want to cut holes into the body, I would like to print light buckets that I clue behind it. They need to hold 1 5mm LED and 1 or 2 3mm LED.s.
I tried to make some better pictures and also grabbed some from the interweb.
ps what is screencast?
Hmm, max # of attached.

So many ways, depends on how much experience you have, how much detail you want,
What you want to make is not seen,
can you mould the front corner with putty like substance? Slicing the mould for cross section curves, can be transferred to Fusion.
cam you get Top, Side and Front photos? These can be traced, for loft or patch Surface bodies,
Have you checked Grab Cad or Internet libraries for a similar car in 3d, you can slice and dice for your purpose?
Might help....
Hi,
I cannot show what I want to make because it does not exist yet. it is a kind of bucket that holds the leds to get them behind the lexan head lights.
Sure, I can get some putty from my son and mould some but what do you mean by " Slicing the mould for cross section curves, can be transferred to Fusion."?
