I'd like to carve these shapes using a 45 degree router bit. There's two strategies I could imagine and I'd like advice on either
1) Model the actual divot with 45 degree walls sloping inward and use something like the Contour strategy
2) Use the center line and programmatically alter the depth of the cut in a curve as a function of distance
