I second the idea of 3d text annotations.

I 3rd the motion. Has been really annoying to not have for some visual representation needs I have. I have little hope though that this will be implemented. I feel like 2d visual representations an unfortunately neglected aspect of fusion.

It´s the year 2023 now and i second that.

We have had the question if there is a 3D annotation feature or a way to view Inventor (.ipt) 3D annotations in Fusion360 by a couple of (prospective) customers.

I personally couldn´t find a way to make it work.

Are there any updates on this subject?

i appreciate information to this,

thanks!

We need 3d annotations from Inventor Models at Fusion360.

This post is NOT solved!

Since nobody seems to be interested in solving this, here is a solution:

1. create your model in inventor and add 3d-annotations to it, save the file and upload it to FusionTeam

2. open the file in Fusion

3. switch to the workspace "manufacture"

4. in the browser on the left side, toggle on the visibility of "PMI"

5. you should now be able to see your 3d annotations. be careful: in some cases they look slightly different than in inventor. the writing may be mirrored or stuff like that. i hope this will be fixed soon.
