2D Drawings Copy and Paste

Hi,

I have a (very) basic problem:I am working on a multi page technical drawing which was build in fusion. I would like to copy and paste text fields from one page (2d drawing) to another. This is such a basic thing and it doesn't work... Any suggestions???

Would be very, very happy if someone could help. Thank you,

Hi Sascha,

Copy/paste is not currently supported in drawings. Selecting the text object and trying to copy/paste won't work.

For text, the content of the text can be copied/pasted, but to do this you need to double-click the existing text, select it within the in-place editor, then use standard Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V or Command+C/Command+V (on Mac) to paste it within the in-place editor on the second sheet.

Can we please add a copy and paste feature this really is a basic feature its very tedious to format and create tags and drawing titles every time. Why cant we have dynamic input blocks or symbols like in autocad to use?

@Anonymous I understand your frustration, but currently the workflow that @cmiller66 documented is the recommended workaround until we can get this implemented. This is on our roadmap, and we will get to it as quickly as we can. You can always follow our progress by looking at THIS roadmap.

Thanks! I actually got a chance to read this and it is encouraging, I just get tired of trying to hack together drawings using multiple programs.

2017 This issue was brought up, 2021 and still no solution, fusion 360 is the worst 3d software ever, anybody reading this, do not purchase this software.
