Hi,

I have these hex cut outs that are nesseccary for hex riv nuts, however, I am finding it difficult to dimension them properly as i cant seem to place a centreline between the top and bottom point of the hex.

Hey @josh.linares-stanley, this functionality doesn't exist yet in the Drawings workspace, but it would be a perfect request to post to the IdeaStation so that we can track it.

Hi Josh,

Currently the way to place that dimension would be to create a Sketch (in the model) along the center of those hexes, then turn on Sketch in the drawing and dimension to the sketch geometry (it will be associated with the view geometry).

In the next update we are adding Osnap support (via the right-click menu) so once that is released you'll be able to pick Midpoint for a case like this.

Longer term we have an item on our roadmap to expand centerline functionality, and this type of point to point case (say down the midpoints of those hex cutouts) would be a good use for that.

Thanks,

Chris
