HI,

SETUP:

holding two parts together with screws. Clamp two parts together and drill with "tap drill"diameter first. Then separate the two parts and drill the top part with a drill bit larger then the threads called the "thread clearance"

QUESTION:

How is this done with the "Hole Tool"?

thanks for any help.fusion.holes.jpg

You'll have to make two different holes.

One threaded hole in the bottom part.

One countersunk hole in the top part.

It would be neat to be able to do this in one shot. You may want to add this to the Idea Station. I'd vote for it!

Thanks for the reply. I don't mean to wave the solidworks flag, but you can in SW.

Something like this?
