1) Delete decal 2) Transparent background

Hi! Two questions.

1) I can not delete decal? Can not find the delete button in the model tree.

2) I use .png file with transparent background, but it doesn't appear like a transparent.

See attached picture.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you!

Best,

Roman

1) I have find how can I delete the decal - it can be done in the Model environment. In the Render environment it was not possible to do. Strange...

2) Still don't understand why a png with transparency don't work in the Fusion.

2) Transparent background – I find the solution. It was a problem with .png. I haven't Photoshop, and I have read in this forum that one can use so-called GIMP (free software, the Photoshop alternative) to make some png og tiff with alfa-channel. But this GIMP isn't work correct, at least the png produced under this GIMP doesn't work in Fusion. Alfa-channel is not supported. That was pretty boring.

P.S. Could be more life in this forum 😃

I'm gonna try to answer both these questions given the multiple posts so bear with me.

  1. I have find how can I delete the decal - it can be done in the Model environment. In the Render environment it was not possible to do. Strange...
    1.  Mostly that is true- the browser is different based on the environments (workspaces).
    2. Click the decal and hit "delete". It should delete as it would in model.
  2. Still don't understand why a png with transparency don't work in the Fusion & Transparent background – I find the solution. It was a problem with .png. 1. You are right here too, this is USUALLY heavily dependent on the PNG file. Transparent background PNG's will render but it's dependent on the PNG. In one thread we found that the PNG was grayscale rather than RBG which was contributing to the render error.

Hi,
And it's not so good that the developers of the Fusion 360 put all responsibility on the file extension (like png or tiff), but not even think in the direction to fix some simple bugs which occurs because the Fusion doesn't take attention on the alfa-channel under rendering process! See attached picture.

The graphical demand that would take is out of the question for Fusion. Since decals are placed primarily for rendering it does make sense to have the alpha channel process in rendering.
