t spline modelling problem

Hey there,


I  am new to fusion 360 and have a problem with my model.

I wanted to create a model of an ape in a low poly/ facetted style.

The purpose of this design is to be 3d printed later on.

I decided to use t splines, although I am not sure anymore if that was such a good decision.



The model is attached


When I tried to create a body it says: 

Problem with the T-spline - Topology


Does anyone have an idea of what I can do to make the error go away, so that I can convert and 3d print it?

And whether t splines is the right approach to create this low poly design.


Any help will be extremely appreciated.

Hi @schfelix2 .


I'm not very good at modeling Forms.
I've tried as much as I know.

Fusion360's Form is basically supposed to be created as a rectangle.
If you check the attached data with the "Repair Body" command, you will see that there are numerous errors.


(Only starpoints are shown because there are too many errors.)



I was able to fix only the tail part, so here is the procedure.

・Delete Body100.


・Execute the "Repair Body" command. (Starpoint only)
 ->This will make it possible to display smooth.


・Select all the edges with the "Crease" command.


・Finish Form


However, one triangular face will be divided into three rectangles in Form.

Thank you very much!


I did as you told and was able to finish the form of the tail.

When I tried to do the same with the main body fusion 360 crashed, probably because of the many mistakes, or?

Would it be theoretically possible to do the same, as you did with the tail, to the body?

I will probably still try to figure out a solution, but do you know an easier way one could achieve the same look with fusion?

It crashed on me too.
Perhaps it's better to use a patch (Surface) for low polygon models.
