Script call for adding part to drawing

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to automate as much as I can when it comes to exporting drawings from design. 

I work a lot with sheet metal parts so I've been exporting SAT and DXF automatically and it feels wonderful. 

My next step is to minimize the efforts used to add parts to a PDF for the manufacturer to look at. 

In the API I just cannot seem to find an function for adding component to a drawing? 

I'd like to add the part as is and to add the flat pattern, if no flat pattern I'll create one regardless if the parts has any folded bits or not. I'd also like to choose what drawing to use so I can group everything in one tidy pdf. 

Does anyone have any pointers on how to add a part to a drawing?  I think I found it in Inventor API, but not for Fusion 360.

Unfortunately, it's not currently possible. The only drawing-related functionality in the API is the ability to export an existing drawing as PDF.

Do you think there is a chance this will come in the future?

For me at least it's a really big job to add everything to drawings and I'm sure I'm not alone in doing so.
